First Impression: At first I see this layout I don't find it too good, but there is something I do like about it. Your site looks a little wierd because all the text and the tables are very small but the layout is big. I see you only have a title for one of the three blogs which I don't think is very good but that doesn't matter too much. I also see you have haloscan and a guestbook so I personally think you should have one or the other but obviously it's up to you :)

Content: I clicked on the downloads and I think it's quite good if this is what you want to offer but I think you should have a description for each download because about a year ago I wouldn't have known about some of those. I think it would also be good to find out who made these programs, you could probably google it. Or you should at least say that it wasn't by you. The blends and layouts aren't amazing but this will come in time, but one thing you can do is make them pop up when you click them because if not you have to keep clicking on the visitors link every time. Color palettes are okay, I don't normally find them very useful and I think these ones could be a bit better. The image maps idea is very interesting and they're not bad. Icons aren't great but like I said earlier practice makes perfect. Overall here I think it's pretty good and your on the right track.

Layout/Coding: I'm not crazy about this layout. I think the blending wasn't very good and I recommend you go to escape.fairycorner.net and look for their blending tutorials, I did and it's quite helpful. I think the quality in this layout is also not crazy good but besides that and the blending I actually think it's not bad. Like I said earlier I think the layout is too big for the small tables and text. So although it may be hard to change your website so much I think you should have gone for a bit bigger tables and text. I know this may seem small but I notice that the dates in the blogs aren't written properly (april 10th is really April 10th). It just looks better. Wait is it just me or is the text in the sidebar bigger than the text in the blog? Well if so then I think you should fix this, the size you have in the sidebar looks good or maybe even a size bigger than it.

Updates/Blog: I see you update and blog fairly regularly which is always good although I would like to see a bit longer blogs. To make it longer one thing you could do is try to drag out a subject a bit longer. This may not be the best example but on April 7th, you say it's a really nice day well maybe try and describe the nice day a bit or talk about something nice that happened, or bad that happened.

Conclusion: The main points are to try and match the size of your tables/text with the size of your layout. Keep the same text size for the sidebar and blog. Describe your downloads and state that they were not by you. Maybe get rid of either the guestbook or haloscan but it's up to you. Try to practice blending more. Overall I think you have great potential, seriously. I think if you follow most of my tips then you could have a great site here :)
